Job Description Summary
The Engineering Manager – Mechanical Analysis provides leadership to a diverse technical team of engineers and contractors responsible for the performance of multiple mechanical analysis tasks/projects including stress, vibration, acoustics, seismic/dynamic, piping and fracture mechanics. The Engineering Manager will work collaboratively with other Engineering Teams, Business Leaders and Project Managers to ensure successful execution of engineering tasks/projects in support of the GEH Service and Fuels Businesses.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership as the Engineering Mechanical Analysis Manager interfacing with internal stakeholders/customers, external customers, the NRC and/or other applicable country specific regulatory agency, as required on technical issues
- Establish and maintain technical oversight of the applicable regulations (e.g., US, other national, or global region)
- Ensure that work tasks are performed in compliance with all GEH policies and procedures and in accordance with current regulatory guides and industry standards
- Support GEH Nuclear quality requirements including initiating and responding to Corrective Actions
- Establish and maintain strong working relationship with other Engineering and Business Leadership Teams
- Responsible for all engineering commitments around financial blueprint goals (Net Costs, RTS, CPI and SPI targets)
- Responsible for planning, assigning and managing all team resources
- Responsible for planning, organizing and managing delivery of technical tasks, development programs and customer projects
- Perform manager review and approval of engineering technical deliverables
- Responsible for Mechanical Analysis technical proposal writeups including scope of work descriptions, deliverable descriptions and schedules, technical exceptions and clarifications, and costing for firm price offerings
- Ensure on-time/budget, high quality equipment deliverable packages and engineering documentation in accordance with contract requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines
- Ensure that design requirements are incorporated into analyses and design documents
- Responsible for the development of teams technical and leadership skillsets
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering project experience

- Master of Science in Engineering
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of highly experienced engineers performing complex engineering analyses
- High performing energetic leader with demonstrated ability to deliver results while exhibiting behaviors that promote strong team performance
- Experience with project management skillset (communication, risk, planning/scheduling)
- Knowledge of USNRC licensing requirements
- Knowledge of US utility outage planning processes
- Understanding of nuclear industry and technology
The salary range for this position is $125 - $175k. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
