Ready to apply? We currently have an opportunity for a Manager, Studio Operations to join our team located at our Times Square Tower-ANN-New York, NY 10036.
Position Overview:
The Manager, Studio Operations will oversee all functionalities of the studio and studio equipment room, including equipment needs in assigned studios throughout the duration of the shoots, while interacting with brand clients and providing the highest level of service. You maintain inventory tracking system, manage and train employees, while elevating and upholding the ANN INC. Studios brand, industry position, and culture as one of the top E-com studios in NYC.
Responsibilities:
  • Team leadership including defining vision, goals, reviews and empowering and driving performance
  • An expert in photo and film equipment including grip & lighting who can plan, estimate and trouble shoot with photographers & photo assistants
  • Manage Equipment Coordinators, and freelancers for EQ/Studio related needs on an ongoing basis
  • Lead and manage equipment staff with focus on Equipment Coordinators
  • Work with internal ANN INC. team and resources to run studios administration (incl. Accounting, HR, IT, Marketing). Work with Senior Manager, to provide financial management including budget and P&L management, and AP.
  • Interface with ANN INC. brands as applicable
  • Vendor and resource management and coordination of all in-house department and outside vendors (sub- rental equipment rentals, expendable purchases, L&D, and or any special requests) with all brand clients to ensure the delivery of the highest level of service
  • Facility/Cyc maintenance oversight and uphold pristine environment inside and outside the studios at all times.
  • Drive safety message throughout the Studio
  • Maintaining par levels of supplies stocked in-house (ex. paint, wood, metal, hardware supplies, tools, etc.)
  • Responsible for equipment and related software purchases and upgrades
  • Maintain par levels for all expendables (ex. seamless paper, batteries, paint, foam core, etc.)
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in similar studio role
  • Proven managerial experience
  • Extensive photo and video equipment knowledge a MUST
  • Knowledge of digital, film, video cameras, lighting and computer equipment
  • Ability to quickly learn and adopt modern processes
  • Experience working in a fast-pace environment
  • Physical condition necessary for studio grip room operations
  • Excellent working knowledge of the photography & commercial film industry and key players
  • Understanding of high-end customer service requirements
  • Ability to prioritize and effective time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An enthusiastic and committed attitude and dedication to excellence
  • Attention to detail, self-starter, and team player
