POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a Planner to create and maintain all manufacturing plans ensuring that all internal and external customer requirements are met. Plan work to ensure 100% on-time delivery by maximizing production capacity.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates comprehensive manufacturing plans designed to provide production operators with all instructions and specifications necessary to effectively fabricate quality parts.
  • Primary liaison between LMI and customer regarding technical issues.
  • Read and interpret customer specifications, blue prints, masking aides, and visual aids as required for basic/complex planning.
  • Researches and incorporates engineering and/or purchase order changes into manufacturing plans.
  • Determine customer requirements, develop planning for new jobs and modify existing jobs in a timely manner.
  • Work with production to resolve manufacturing issues. This may involve tools, methods, engineering, inspection and interpretation of specifications.
  • Acts as a liaison between the product lines and applicable customer service cells.
  • Assists in identifying substitutes for raw material for new and rework orders if required.
  • Initiates and assists with changes of operations to manufacturing plans.
  • Prioritize work to ensure customer requirements and on-time delivery.
  • Oversee document control to ensure electronic files are current and that all document control revisions levels are current in system for the individual documents that changed and updated on the Engineering Master for any details or assemblies that use the updated document
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Cross-trains and supports other team positions as required
  • Knows, understands and follows all job tools available and applicable to the job and the plant including QAPs/SSP’s, Work Instructions, etc.
  • All duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or other members of the management team.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends if the need arises
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in an aerospace environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and the discipline to maintain systems and keep all work areas neat and clean.
  • Fluent in the English language (both written and oral)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of customer drawings, specs or other engineering tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing flows, sequences, and capabilities of assigned product lines.
  • Ability to read measuring equipment (micrometer, calipers, protractor, height gages, scale and radius gages, etc.).
  • High level of experience with CATIA or any solid modeling CAD package a plus

Subject to eligibility, terms, and conditions:
Base Non-Exempt Pay Range: $21.00 - 24.50 per hour
This base pay range is specific to residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Washington, and any other state that may require such disclosure. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
