A Manufacturing Engineer job is currently available at Belcan Engineering in Denver, CO (Louisville). This is a full time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have 2+ years of hands on manufacturing engineering experience involving Electrical, Propulsion, Mechanical, or Structures within the aero/space industry. This is a hybrid role allowing a blend of on-site and remote support based on project/program needs. May also be required to travel up to 50%.

Manufacturing Engineer job duties:

  • Troubleshoot major material process problems, evaluate scrap out-of-flow material, implement existing or develop new approaches and special projects to solve the issues.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, make suggestions involving the assembly process, machinery, tooling, gage alternatives, etc.
  • Heavily involved with presenting of the on-site information process, customer procedures, supporting documentation, forms, drawings, production, inspections, quality resolution, etc.
  • Identify, act, and complete efforts related to PFMEA"s and Effects of Failure and the recommended actions and assignments for preventative and corrective needs.
  • Support supply chain operation through short-term deployment to critical suppliers where skill set will be used to review manufacturing operations and validate supplier schedules
  • Write and create new work instructions, update existing work instructions, and make edits for new and existing parts.
  • Assist, edit, troubleshoot, and resolve needs within the manufacturing process, various APAQ processes, package and relocation support, supply chain, CNC machines and programming, cutting tools, components and parts, unique parts, scrap, etc.
  • Communicate and interact with shop floor personnel, quality/process teams, customer management team, material teams, purchasing teams and other engineers involved in the process.

Core Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering
  • At least two years of experience involving manufacturing engineering, ideally within aerospace and a shop floor setting
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication processes
  • Skilled in creating and updating technical documents, reports, and standards
  • Understanding of product engineering concepts and applications
  • Mechanical aptitude and an understanding of design for manufacturing concepts.
  • Ability to be a self-starter with potential for technical leadership and guidance
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members, as well as to managers and engineers in client business units
  • Proficient with the MS Office suite, MS Project and MS Visio
  • US Citizenship required due to the nature of the work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
