Job Summary: The Marketing & Communications Coordinator assists with developing and implementing a coordinated approach to internal and external marketing and public communications for the Skagit Regional Health system.

Essential Functions: Serves as a key member of the Marketing and Communication team responsible for internal and external marketing needs, working with departments across the organization.
- Uses advanced graphic design skills to facilitate a wide variety of projects, both internally and with vendors, as needed.
- Ensures that the branding strategy is used consistently at all sites and in all mediums.
- Ensures effective internal and external marketing of new and/or prioritized SRH services.
- Writes advertising copy, internal communications, intranet and website copy, internal memos and HealthQuest magazine content.
- Works with medical staff services to coordinate provider head shots and schedules and coordinates additional photography shoots as needed.
- Assists with additions and changes to web pages and the SRH Intranet so that content is current and compelling.
- Understands and uses content management systems.
- Provides support to digital coordinators as needed.
- Assists with video production as needed.
- Coordinates special projects requiring internal and/or external communication.
- Coordinates special events related to internal or external public relations.
- Serves as a member of the Public Information Officer (PIO) team and is part of the on-call PIO Rotation.
- Maintain ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook) and department specific software applications to perform work.
- Communicate effectively and cooperatively in the workplace.
- Actively contribute to the achievement of Quality Improvement and Lean Process Improvement activities.
- Complete all mandatory learning requirements in a timely manner.
- Attend and actively participate in all department, team and/or committee meetings.
- Comply with all Skagit Regional Health, department and location specific policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.
Education: Bachelor’s in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or program development required.
Experience/Training: Minimum one (1) year marketing or communications experience required. Minimum one (1) year photography experience required. Experience in healthcare preferred.
Other Skills: Exceptional writing, editing and interpersonal communications skills required. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro). Ability to meet deadlines and take initiative.
Physical Demands & Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; when working in office. Repetitive tasks such as typing, sitting, answering phones, and interacting with computers and computer systems most of the day is a function of the position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus. This position requires working in an indoor, environmentally controlled environment when in the office. This position is hybrid remote eligible. Must be able to work independently with little supervision in a home environment with privacy.

Pay: $60,800.00 - $73,500.00 per year
