Your Role
Material Handler (Level 2)
Work Type: Direct Hire, 4-to-6-week temporary position with possible extension
Openings: 4 People
Shift and Hours: 1st Shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm, overtime available
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Saturday overtime available
Compensation: $30.00 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing
Essential Functions
- Performs the physical tasks related to movement of inventory
- Data entry relating to the movement of material & to accurately issue, count & pull from racks for delivery to various production areas
- Inventory verification for quality and count accuracy including cycle counting and reconciliation
- Assure that all safety procedures & policies are followed
- Experience using UPS. DHL, & Fed-Ex software (Domestic & International shipments)
- Keep warehouse, shipping & receiving area clean & free from debris/clutter
Required
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of related experience, preferably in a warehouse manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of Forklift experience
- Shown strength of Thermo Fisher Scientific values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement
- Able to lift 40lbs
- Good attendance record & reliable transportation
- Decision making ability and ability to multi-task & follow through
- Computer literate
- Experience using ERP’s like SAP
- Excellent verbal, written skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Ability to work independently
- Load & unload trucks as needed via forklift or pallet jacks
- Wrap, weigh & prepare shipments on skids/pallets
- Assist in implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives
