About this opportunity
As a Material Handler, you’ll be responsible for transporting and storing raw materials as well as finished goods, throughout the manufacturing plant. Ensuring that materials and finished goods are transported carefully while maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy is critical.
12-hour Night Shift: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am, Alternating shifts of the work week
Example of work schedule:
Week 1: Scheduled days- Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat
Week 2: Scheduled days- Sun, Wed, Thur
The training will likely begin on day shift and could last 30 days, with the duration based on previous work experience and ability to demonstrate job-specific skills required for the position. The training schedule is flexible, based on the candidate availability.
What you will do
- Operate motorized fork truck to move, covey, or hoist shipments to various areas within the plant.
- Use man-up turret forklift and operate equipment at heights over 15 feet.
- Perform cycle counts and calculate inventory through computerized inventory management system.
- Responsible for managing and handling hazardous waste.
- Participate in and complete training for D.O.T. responsibilities as outlined in the Haz-Mat Security Plan, within 3 months of hire date and complete ongoing training at least every 3 years.

- Inventory management and warehouse experience
- Forklift certification preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to read and write
- Basic math and computer skills
- Experience with Radius and RFID a plus, but not required

Additional details
- Overtime may be required during heavy volume seasons
- This is a manufacturing environment requiring wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and steel toe-covered shoes (provided by TC Lenexa), as well as hearing protection
- Within this manufacturing environment, inks and solvents often create a strong odor
