ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform inspections and tests with extremely high accuracy to confirm received parts are within tolerances established by the appropriate Engineering drawing. Perform all facets of the inspection process including marking and next process information generation. Properly select measuring methods and tools to safely perform inspections and tests in an effective and efficient manner. Generate, process, and store Quality documents including inspection records and nonconformance documentation. Review Material Testing Record to ensure product material meets established criteria as documented on the Purchase Order. Properly use measuring equipment, to include but not limited to, digital or dial calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges to perform inspections or tests. Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Verify all testing equipment is calibrated and in active status prior to any inspection or test being performed. Ensure inspection records are accurate, complete, and properly stored according to established departmental procedures. Safely, effectively, and efficiently perform testing duties with near 100% accuracy. Effectively and efficiently use time to safely perform duties. Complete all paperwork in required manner and time frame. Demonstrate a willingness to learn to produce new products, use new procedures, and embrace and support change. Follow and support established HSE programs. Report any unsafe situations to appropriate Management Team member if necessary. All other duties or tasks as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Strong working knowledge of Quality Standards such as API and ISO. Ability to complete assigned tasks with near 100% accuracy on an ongoing basis. Ability to read and understand measuring devices including but not limited to digital or dial calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges. Ability to use and apply basic math calculations such as fractions, decimals, and angles. Ability to work from written and verbal instructions, procedures, and documents. Ability to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with people. Strong problem-solving and analysis skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects on a daily basis in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to speak, write and read English. Able to work independently or as part of a team on a broad variety of projects. Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. At least four (4) years in an inspection or machining role with at least two (2) of those years performing dimensional inspections of parts and components. NDE/NDT experience is highly preferred. Must be able to pass a vision acuity test (corrective lenses allowed). Must obtain and maintain active certifications to operate cranes
