Hydrasearch is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join its team in Stevensville on Maryland's eastern shore. This is a hands-on engineering role in a manufacturing environment. We are proud of our products and value our position as a critical supplier to many of the country’s largest shipbuilders, and many notable boat OEM’s.


Responsibilities:

  • Review technical specifications, technical requirements documents, design descriptions, test procedures, and test reports
  • Conduct quality review of materials and material certifications
  • Ensure manufacturing process meets acceptable standards and documentation is compliant with standards or customer requirements
  • Review and validation of manufactured part conformance to end user/government requirements
  • Trouble shooting, designing and testing new products
  • Utilize multiple 3D printing and scanning technologies
  • Provide proactive support to identify potential issues and concerns
  • Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies
  • Interface with various levels of technical, quality and operations personnel to ensure their understanding of inspection results and anomalies
  • Solving of manufacturing problems (related to materials, designs, equipment, people) in a timely manner
  • Developing/revising process documentation and work instructions
  • Perform root cause and corrective action analysis and maintain documentation throughout
  • Answering technical questions from internal and external customers
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of mechanical drawings with strong mechanical aptitude
  • Firm grasp of SolidWorks and AutoCAD programs; proficiency with Microsoft suite of products

  • Working with SolidWorks and AutoCAD programs; proficiency with Microsoft suite of products
  • Solidworks PDM or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3+ years working within an MRP and/or ERP systems required
