Mechanical Engineer

Remote - Full Time

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will work in one or more customer engineering project teams performing assigned tasks that support the execution and timely completion of the engineering projects. Work at this level includes the detailed product design, testing, and analysis to develop products, tools, engines, machines, or electrical components.

You will report to more senior engineers to design solutions for the customer or implement, maintain, and improve manufacturing tools and methods. At this level, work is more advanced, with instruction provided at a moderate level. You will have direct customer interaction and is indirectly responsible for customer satisfaction. This individual may work on multiple projects but usually has one primary emphasis.

Most projects will necessitate the application of formalized product development processes, system engineering, and lean product development methodologies. Using these established procedures, the person applies experiential knowledge of engineering principles to analyze, research, evaluate, install, operate, or maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements.

You will perform tasks including design, modeling, drafting, testing, and analysis. The person in this role ensures the timely, thorough, and accurate completion of engineering tasks.


This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties:

  • Perform a full-lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture, and implement)
  • Design systems and components that meet needs and requirements
  • Alter and modify the design to meet requirements and eliminate malfunctions
  • Estimate the budget and scope of the project
  • Solicit observations from operators
  • Prepare product reports and documentation
  • Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories or methods

Requirements:

  • Master of Science or Bachelor of Science with experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in product design.
  • Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE).
  • Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE, Creo, or other).
  • Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, ProMechanica, or similar).
  • Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, Excel, LabView, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of core concepts, including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
  • Creativity and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Technical writing skills.
