In this position, you will be responsible for production tooling, mold design, and spec drawings as well as designing and developing solutions for new products as well as modifications to existing products to meet market needs, The design is primarily focused on custom transformers, inductors and coils for use in the military, medical, aerospace, industrial, and test and measurement applications.

We are currently looking for a customer focused, motivated, and versatile Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Concord, NH. This position reports to the Director of Engineering and will serve as a key member of our Engineering staff with the freedom to create optimized solutions to meet the needs of our Customers.

Our Engineers work directly with our Customers and/or our Sales Team to design products that not only meet their requirements and specification but also in the most cost-effective manner. Our Engineers work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing and the Quality group to develop prototypes and models for client approval.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development of production tooling design and manufacturing processes (primarily injection molding
  • Supports new product introductions with concept development, prototyping and commercialization of new equipment technology.
  • Interface with mechanical design engineers, manufacturing process engineers and operations personnel to streamline, problem solve and continuously improve product designs.
  • Leads project's manufacturing & tooling strategy from technical as well as business needs standpoint
  • Provide manufacturing feasibility during the part design and material selections
  • Provide leadership in problem solving for any tooling related defects, unplanned maintenance, and overall assessment of design to improve uptime and tool performance
  • Responsible for creating detail component and assembly designs, analysis, manufacturing drawings and presentation material for internal / external customer design reviews that demonstrate conformance to all derived requirements and customer specifications.
  • Develop, review and approve engineering documentation, including product specifications, drawings, assembly procedures, and test plans. Perform, guide or review various types of advanced engineering analyses to characterize and validate proposed designs.
  • Support the assembly, integration and test of the product or prototype hardware.
  • Provide technical leadership and design oversight in support of existing product lines and new development efforts by interacting cross-functionally with various engineering disciplines, operations, supply chain, program management, customer representatives and vendors.

Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or BSMET) and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with computer design tools (Solidworks) is a plus.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and excellent project management / multi-tasking
  • Must be a self-starter, versatile and adept at functioning in either lead or support role in small groups working on fast-paced projects encompassing initial conceptual product design all the way through transition to manufacturing production build.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and retain pertinent information
  • Hands on knowledge of power circuitry and magnetics principles
  • Demonstrated good organizational and planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to concisely and accurately communicate technical information both in a written and oral forms
  • Good mechanical and electrical / electronic aptitude
  • Computer application skills to support job requirements (Email, MS Excel, Word)
  • Capable of meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong focus on working with a safety mindset both for self and others
  • Demonstrated technical and analysis skills
