Critical Systems, Inc. (CSI) is a rapidly growing 24-year-old, ISO certified, high tech manufacturing company for the semiconductor industry. Our current growth rate, as well as a host of upcoming exciting new products has us in search of an additional Mid-Level Gas Systems/Site Services Technician for our Linthicum Heights, Maryland site.

SITE LOCATION: Linthicum Heights, Maryland

As a Gas Systems/Site Services Technician they are responsible for monitoring and maintaining hazardous gas/chemicals systems. Testing, maintaining, and repairing electrical/electronics, mechanical, and pneumatic systems and components (gas and chemical systems). Determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to operation. Daily gas cylinder and chemical drum change outs. Provide support to all areas of fabrication.

General Accountabilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls, power supplies, pressure monitoring devices and test equipment.
• Plans and performs work requiring a knowledge of electrical/electronic, vacuum, and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, read electrical schematics, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
• Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
• Informs appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
• Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
• Assists personnel with technical troubleshooting.
• Assists and trains other technical-level employees.
• Will install programs and perform minimal programming.
• Provide support to Customer, Sales, Welders and Field Services.
• Inspect and provide quality control on build jobs per build requirements.
• Be able to correctly use appropriate PPE with job tasks.

Job Qualifications due to government site requirements

• Must show proof of US Citizenship.
• Education: 2-year technical degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• 3 - 5 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, and pneumatic fields.
• 3 years’ computer experience/operation and PLC programming or equivalent experience.
• Must qualify via medical surveillance for SCBA protocols.
• Must participate in hearing conservation program.
• Must participate in clean room DON/DOF protocol.
