Position Summary:
The responsibilities of the CNA include care of the Elders and the Elders’ environment, including but not limited to cooking, laundry, and housekeeping. Administer or assist with self-administration of medication and treatments as prescribed by the health care provider and observe/report responses to existing care plans based on state regulations and completion of required training/certification.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
- Medication administration and documentation
- Physician communication
- Close communication with the Elder and their family
- Close communication with the DON and ADON's
- Helping seniors with personal care
- Serving meals family style
- Promoting meaningful activities for both residents and staff
- Performing random acts of kindness and spontaneous moments of joy for our seniors and staff
- Recognize and respond to the needs of Elders
- Promote autonomy of Elders in decision-making
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of Elder care, procedures, and documentation
- Communicate with co-workers at all levels to meet the needs of Elders
- Assist with and/or perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as outlined and assigned by the care plan and with appropriate training
- Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respirations, weight, height, and anatomical dimension/circumference
- Assist moving, positioning and transporting Elders into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
- Assist with the application of slings, elastic bandages, binders, etc
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
