Position Summary:

The responsibilities of the CNA include care of the Elders and the Elders’ environment, including but not limited to cooking, laundry, and housekeeping. Administer or assist with self-administration of medication and treatments as prescribed by the health care provider and observe/report responses to existing care plans based on state regulations and completion of required training/certification.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

• Medication administration and documentation
• Physician communication
• Close communication with the Elder and their family
• Close communication with the DON and ADON's
• Helping seniors with personal care
• Serving meals family style
• Promoting meaningful activities for both residents and staff
• Performing random acts of kindness and spontaneous moments of joy for our seniors and staff
• Recognize and respond to the needs of Elders
• Promote autonomy of Elders in decision-making
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of Elder care, procedures, and documentation
• Communicate with co-workers at all levels to meet the needs of Elders
• Assist with and/or perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as outlined and assigned by the care plan and with appropriate training
• Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respirations, weight, height, and anatomical dimension/circumference
• Assist moving, positioning and transporting Elders into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
• Assist with the application of slings, elastic bandages, binders, etc

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
