Medical Administrative Assistant / Medical ReceptionistAre you ready to step into a position that combines your organizational skills, ability to multitask, and unrelenting drive to help others? We’re looking for a Medical Administrative Assistant / Medical Receptionist to join our fast-paced, customer-focused primary care/adult medicine/pediatric teams for Evernorth Care Group across the Phoenix Valley. Work hours: Typically Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Some hours may vary based on the location.
Responsibilities:
Ensure day-to-day operations run like a well-oiled machine: Use your supernatural organizational powers to help manage the health care needs of our varied patient populations, accurately follow all policies and procedures, provide excellent customer service through all avenues of communication, practice in alignment with the scope of your certification or licensure, appropriately manage ambiguity, recognize appropriate ways to deal with conflict management, and properly document your efforts of all the care and information provided to our patients.
For Medical Administrative Assistants, you will be checking-in and checking-out patients for their appointments. This will include obtaining insurance information, verifying accuracies of patient information, and processing payments accurately. Also, you will be the first “face” patients interact with in the centers, with the expectation that you put great customer service at the front of all you do. Other responsibilities include interacting with patients via phone, in person, or through our EHR and patient portal to communicate messages from our healthcare team and to provide patients with opportunities to schedule appointments, adjust appointments, or send messages to and from clinicians and support staff. Great communication is a “must” to be successful.

Minimal Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED certificate
Have excellent customer skills, and care deeply about providing empathetic, quality care to customers
Have spent time in a healthcare environment
Know your way around a computer
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year experience in the outpatient setting
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
