Job description
The Independence Center Of Ste Genevieve County is seeking a full-time position Medical Advocate assisting individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
- As a Medical Advocate you will be responsible for ensuring the health needs and well being of ISL, and day program consumers are taken care of at the highest level possible. The Medical Advocate will also be responsible for taking consumers to doctors appointments, along with ensuring our ISL consumers have all medications and physcian ordered items as needed. They must also have an understanding of resident rights. The expectation is that they will enhance the individuals health and well being.
- Must have experience working with persons with mental, physical, and developmental disabilities. Medical background is a plus. Must meet Federal standard for position, High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Must possess or obtain a state Chauffeur's License(class E license).
