Hinton Healthcare Group is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant with a positive attitude and outgoing personality to help provide outstanding patient care in one of our Adult/Pediatric locations! The desired applicant will have electronic medical records experience, strong communication skills, and show the initiative to grow within all aspects of our practice. The Medical Assistant (MA) provides patient care under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. Performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures.

Full Time position available, Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Basic Job Responsibilities In A Private Practice Setting:

• Obtain vital signs, patient history and maintain accurate and prompt charting in the patient's records.
• Triage calls and respond to patient communications within practice policy.
• Perform clinical skills such as, EKG's, point of care testing and injections.
• Administer vaccines to children.
• Perform selected nursing and administrative duties and assists physicians as part of the clinical care team.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy policies.
• Clean, prepare and stock supplies in exam rooms.

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program
• Experience in a healthcare environment: 1 year, preferred.
• Experience in a Pediatric Medical Office, preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
