Medical Assistant
Idaho Arthritis Center located in Meridian, Boise, and Caldwell, Idaho, is recruiting for a full-time Medical Assistant for our rheumatology clinic.
The Physicians at Idaho Arthritis Center provide state-of-the-art care for rheumatic diseases. Besides commonly seen diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Gout, Osteoarthritis, and Osteoporosis, our physicians treat a wide variety of complex rheumatologic disorders.
Primary responsibilities of the Medical Assistant include:
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations in dealing with physicians, patients, patient families, visitors and co-workers in a professional and confident manner.
- Completes all required charting and documentation according to clinic guidelines and the direction of the physician.
- Administers injections, draws blood, removes sutures and staples, and completes necessary forms according to Clinic policies and procedures to ensure services are completed according to coding and billing guidelines.
- Answers patient calls with clinically related questions, to assist the physician in providing ongoing care and treatment of patients.
- Provides ongoing patient education and advocates for patient needs with physicians and other available social and medical services.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
- One year experience in a clinic setting is preferred
- IV certification preferred (not required to be considered for the position)
- EMR experience preferred
- Must be willing to travel to satellite locations in Meridian and Caldwell

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Experience:
- EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
- Medical office: 1 year (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy/IV placement: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Certified Medical Assistant certification (Required)
