Job description

• Escorts patients to lab or exam rooms
• Obtains clinical info – vital signs, height, weight, etc.
• Phlebotomy & administer injections
• Assist Physicians with exams & procedures
• Advises physicians of all schedule changes; work-ins and any insurance information that might affect a patient’s visit.
• Patients calls + pharmacy calls
• Clean exam rooms & instruments – stock supplies/checks expiration dates
• Washes, dries, folds all laundry & records laundry supplies as needed
• Contact patients with lab results in accordance with practice policies
• Assist with ultrasounds, non-stress tests, as needed
• Documents in the medical records all telephone convos w/ patients, providers, families, clinical, clerical, billing

Requirements:

• Completed training in a medical assistants program or medical equivalent program (CNA/RNA/MA)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Tampa, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
