Open a new chapter in your career as a Medical Assistant with UF Health Physicians, the physician practice group supporting UF Health in Gainesville and Central Florida.

This full-time opportunity will allow you to gain valuable experience as you provide outpatient care under the direct supervision of a licensed physician. Our MAs assist with a variety of tasks that help our practices run smoothly, including performing clerical duties and maintaining insurance and medical records. Our Medical Assistants may be required to float to other UFHP practices as needed.

Successful candidates for our MA position should be a graduate from an accredited course of study as a Medical Office Assistant or possess the equivalent knowledge and skill from completing a similar type of formal training, such as any of these United States Armed Forces medical services training programs: Health Care Specialist training course, Special Operations Medical Sergeant training course, Hospital Corpsman training course or Health Services Technician. Candidates who are not Certified Medical Assistants must obtain their certification within 90 days of hire, and all candidates must maintain their certification through the duration of their employment. We are seeking candidates who are excellent team players, problem solvers and motivated multitaskers. Candidates with a year or more of direct patient care experience in an ambulatory setting are preferred, but we are willing to train recent graduates.

Our Medical Assistants receive competitive compensation ranging between $15.45 and $19.65/hour (commensurate with experience), exceptional comprehensive benefits and generous PTO to allow you to explore and discover all that Florida has to offer.
