What you will do in this role:

  • You will be responsible for assessing needs of patients and must be able to distinguish between an emergency and non-emergency situation and prioritize accordingly.
  • You will document all activities in the medical record neatly and appropriately.
  • You will maintain medical equipment and supplies for the clinic.
  • You will maintains a professional and workable relationship with providers.
  • You will screen and contact potential new patients collecting and documenting information in the office database.
  • You will manage the front desk serving as a receptionist welcoming patients and family members in a professional manner, registering patients, verifying insurance, answering phones, scheduling diagnostic studies and other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or Nurse Practitioner.

What qualifications you will need for this position:

  • Graduate of accredited medical assistance program, MA Certified, equivalent healthcare certification or sufficient previous MA work experience. BLS required from AHA or ARC
  • Previous ambulatory services/clinic experience desirable
  • Knowledge of sterile technique, patient teaching methods for all ages
