About our Medical Assistant-Registered Training Program:

We offer a unique opportunity for Medical Assistant - Certified students to build an excellent clinical skill set in a real-world work environment. Candidates selected for the program receive an offer of employment at Kadlec Clinic as a Medical Assistant Registered, along with tuition assistance of up to $3,000 per calendar year. Candidates will receive opportunities in a number of primary and specialty care areas, along with flexible scheduling determined by the student’s school schedule and specific clinic needs.

Qualifications - External

To be eligible for consideration for the Medical Assistant Training Program, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

• GED or High School Diploma from an accredited educational institution required
• Enrolled and in active good standing in a Medical Assistant Program
• Successful completion of Two Medical Assistant Program classes/courses/modules
• Maintain an overall minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

• Most recent program transcript including GPA (unofficial okay). If grades are not available, you will be required to submit upon receipt. Any offer is contingent upon meeting the minimum 3.0 GPA requirement.

Licensure/Credentials: Must apply for WA State Medical Assistant-Registered Licensure within 7 days from date of hire into the position; must obtain WA State Medical Assistant-Registered Licensure within 60 days from date of hire into the position.

Other: Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.

Medical Assistant Registered WA - MEDICAL ASSIST REG PROG at Kadlec Regional Medical Center

The Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) works under the delegation of a licensed independent practitioner(LIP- e.g. RN, APC, MD/DO) to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met through both administrative and clinical duties. An MA-R is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required qualifications:

• Within 60 days of hire: Washington Medical Assistant Registration
• Within 60 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred qualifications:

• Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary or Health Unit Coordinator/Clerk;
• 1 year of Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.
