Under the direct supervision of the Billing Manager, AR Specialist is responsible to:
Systematically Investigate each denial and compile appeals for corrected claims which has previously been denied by payers.
Proactively Monitor and keep up with appeals work que .
Uncover trends by one or more insurance carriers and recommend the process to prevent or reduce the risk of future claims denials.
Work closely with AR and other teams in the Business Office to help with their workload when needed.
Education: Associates Degree Preferred. High School or GED required.
Experience: 3+ years experience in physician medical office billing, collections and/or medical coding. Certified Professional Coder highly desired.
