The Front Desk is responsible for reconciling the previous day’s visits/payments and the scheduling of new patients. They also are responsible for verifying insurance benefits, copying patients’ insurance card and driver’s license, and reviewing patients’ insurance benefits and having them sign insurance forms. The Front Desk is expected to handle daily reconciliation of payments which includes making sure the batch is balance.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Reconciling the previous day’s visits/payments.
- Scheduling of new patients (phone/walk-in)
- Assisting patients in documentation of personal, insurance, and demographical information during new patient registration.
- Verifying insurance benefits prior to patient’s first visit and documenting benefits on Insurance Benefit Verification Form.
- Current patient appointment processing, including but not limited to checking in patients, collecting payments, scheduling follow-up appointments, and daily reconciliation of payments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Education & Experience
- High school diploma or relevant qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar role.
- Good understanding of office administration and basic bookkeeping practices.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office programs.

- Exceptional computer skills, including strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products, including the creative ability to prepare high quality presentations and the analytic ability to utilize spreadsheet technology to develop metrics and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and tasks in a dynamic environment with a proven track record of results.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
- Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management, organizational and administrative support skills, including superior attention to detail.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in the English language.
