As valued members of the team, our Front Desk Receptionists extend our culture of excellence into the front lines of the clinic setting. They set the tone for the entire patient experience while assisting patients and their families with the check in process and complete the patient visit by scheduling any follow up appointments as they leave our office.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent GED
- Minimum one-year customer service experience
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to project a professional, pleasant image while interacting with others
- Ability to plan, prioritize and complete multiple tasks under stress with frequent interruptions
- Self-motivated and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent telephone and communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong attention to detail is necessary
- Proficient level of computer skills required
- Ability to responsibly handle and maintain confidential information
Responsibilities:
- Must be customer service oriented as this position is the first impression of our organization to all patients and their guests
- Interact and maintain professionalism with all patients, family members, and vendors
- Verify Insurance and process eligibility
- Competently register and schedule patients for appointments
- Work in a fast past environment with attention to detail regarding all pertinent medical information
- Collect Co-pays, co-insurances, and patient balances
- General duties include answering phones, data entry, and scanning
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor or physician
- Travel may be required based on coverage needs for the department
- Some overtime is expected but cannot be guaranteed
