Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD and CPT.
• Knowledge of scheduling patients in a clinic/medical practice.
• Demonstrates outstanding customer service skills.
• Minimum two years’ experience in healthcare field and previous call center experience is preferred.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred.

Functions

• Schedule clinic appointments including consultations, and follow-up visits
• Obtain patient demographic information and insurance eligibility and enter into CPS/GE Centricity.
• Confirm patient is eligible with insurance plan at the time appointment is scheduled.
• Successfully processes referrals through the referral system
• Answer and resolve all incoming calls and requests in a timely, accurate manner.
• Facilitate communication with referring providers to ensure patient is prepared for activation upon arrival of their appointment.

The Medical Office Scheduler II is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the patient appointment, including authorizations and insurance verification for multiple facilities Arizona and Michigan.
