Bethesda Endoscopy Center (BEC) a GI Ambulatory Surgical Center in Bethesda, MD has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Medical Receptionist to join the team!
The schedule for this position is M-F 7:30am-4:00pm.

What you will be working on:
· Register and greet patients
· Routinely collect copayments and balances
· Schedule procedures
· Excellent understanding and experience with insurance carriers and referral requirements
· Prepare charts and check eligibility in advance for patient schedules
· Knowledge of billing, invoicing and medical records
· Ability to manage patient flow from check in to hand off with medical staff
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and prioritize
· Other administrative duties as assigned
What you’ll know:
· A successful applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
· High School Diploma (or equivalent)
· Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting, previous ASC setting a plus
· BLS Certification
· Knowledge of EMR and medical terminology, including CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, patient registration, charge entry functions or other billing related experience is preferred
· Scheduling software experience preferred
· Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite of products
· Previous experience handling multiple phone lines
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Must be a team-player with excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills
· Compassion for patient needs and a high degree of professionalism
Mandatory participation in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Vaccination program is required for all Center Health Care Personnel (HCP).
