Medical Receptionist & Back Office Assistant
Job description
Podiatrist office located in St. Albans NY looking for a Front Desk Receptionist and Back Office Assistant. Please read the description and qualifications thoroughly below, as those meeting the qualifications would only be considered
Front Desk Receptionist Job Duties Include but not limited to:
- Scheduling patient's appointments and surgeries
- Greet and gather patient information upon arrival
- Accurately input patient data onto Sammy software.
- Insurance eligibility verification
- Filing charts and other administrative duties
- Other duties required by the Podiatrist
- Completing Medical forms and letters when requested by patients
- Communicating efficiently with the Back Office Assistant
Memo*** * FLEXIBILITY IS A MUST***
Back Office Assistant Duties Include but not limited to:
- Insurance verification and pre authorization.
-MRI preauthorizations
- Overseeing Surgery scheduling and ensuring Pre Operative work up is completed.
- Overseeing the Front desk
- Completing Medical Records request while following HIPPA Compliance
- Placing orders orders of medical assistive devices
Requirements
- Computer savvy and organized
- Experience working in a medical office- Minimum of 6 months
- Experience of performing the majority of above stated duties- Minimum of 6 months
- Experience with Sammy software preferred
- Flexible and Reliable
- Excellent Communication skills
- Fast learner
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)

- Medical office experience: 1 year (Required)
