Hours of Operation: Typical hours of operation for Occupational Health is 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday (Work eight hours per day with a one-hour lunch break)

Core Duties:

  • Schedules appointments and verify employee demographic data into the computer system prior to visit.
  • Obtains and documents employee's reason for being seen at the OH Clinic. Maintains employee records, both electronically or hard paper, according to regulation. File medical documentation in employee record.
  • Performs basic office administrative functions such as filing of paperwork, document preparation, scheduling of meetings, note taking and distribution of information. Incumbent should be familiar with computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Checks patient's vital signs, to include temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, height and weight.
  • Maintains examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms.
  • Enters, manipulates, and/or retrieves information and data from automated systems to include the CHCS and utilize Automated Call Distribution System (ACD).

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

  • One year of specialized experience which includes scheduling medical appointments, organizing patient records, receiving, relaying, answering, and re-directing patient related inquiries, and using office automation systems to record patient information.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Requires excellent communication skills both written and verbal, general medical knowledge and the ability to network within MTF and post communities.
  • Organizational skill are a must for this position as the incumbent will be responsible for scheduling and obtaining any required documentation from the employees prior to their appointment.
  • Familiar with computer operations and be able to train in a wide variety of systems used to enter, manipulate, and/or retrieve information and data from automated systems to include the Composite Health Care System (CHCS) and Utilize Automated Call Distribution System (ACD).
  • Familiar with computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Administration skills are highly desirable for this position.
  • Ability to perform basic vitals such as temperature and utilize personal protective equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year
