Mission Statement
Refractions IRTS provides person centered mental health and chemical health services to individuals and families in Minnesota. We help individuals with recovery and mental health management and assist clients through an integrated approach to care.
Refractions IRTS has an opportunities for all Mental Health Practitioner positions at our program site. The MHP delivers intensive residential treatment services (IRTS) to recipients who are experiencing significant difficulty with daily life activities as a result of a serious mental illness in a comprehensive 24-hour service. The Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Provide medically necessary rehabilitation services and adult rehabilitative mental health services
- Residential Household and Safety Responsibilities
- Transportation
- Helping residents cook
- Leading life skills groups
- Medication assistance
- Assisting MHP, TD, LPCC in ongoing tasks needed
Qualifications
- DHS background study clearance
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Valid insurance
- Maintain First Aid and CPR certification (we can also provide)
Necessary Qualifications
Job Description: Mental Health Practitioner (All Shifts)
The MHP delivers intensive residential treatment services (IRTS) to recipients who are experiencing significant difficulty with daily life activities as a result of a serious mental illness in a comprehensive 24-hour service. The Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Provide medically necessary rehabilitation services and adult rehabilitative mental health services
- Residential Household and Safety Responsibilities
Qualifications
The Mental Health Practitioner shall meet the qualifications defined in Minnesota Statute 245.462 subdivision 17 or Minnesota Statute 256B.0623 subdivision 5
- Experience and training in behavioral learning techniques, rehabilitation theory and practice
- Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitation's screening
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Maintain First Aid and CPR certification
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review Individual Treatment Plans
- Review functional assessment within ten days of client intake that is updated at least every three months or prior to discharge from services, whichever comes first
- Read diagnostic assessment for all clients
- Review Individual Treatment Plan within ten days of client intake and monthly updates thereafter
- Attend weekly treatment team meetings and reviews of client progress towards meeting treatment goals and summarize progress by way of documentation
- To be actively involved in client treatment;
- Provide individual and group services to clients according to ITP.
- Communicates client and program needs to clinical supervisor or treatment director and other staff via timely written and verbal communication
- To be responsible for maintaining professional conduct in performance of duties;
- Present the program and organization to the public in a positive and supportive manner
- Perform duties in accordance with policies of Refractions
