Job description:
-read and understand drawings, sketches, blueprints to produce quality parts
-Manually positioning smaller steel metal components into press and larger pieces with overhead crane to perform proper brake forming per specifications
-unloading and stacking finished materials for transport to downstream departments

Minimum job requirements:
-high school diploma or equivalent
-must have working knowledge and understanding of reading and using a tape measure, T-Square and protractor (test given)
-ability to follow supervision instructions including safety rules and use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, work boots, hearing protection, and gloves

Preferred Skills:
working experience, education, training, and/or knowledge in metalworking fabrication/manufacturing

Physical Requirements:
Preforming this job requires manipulation of hands to control component feed or positioning, use of measuring tool to determine brake performance to specification and brake controls

This job will require lifting (not more than 60 pounds), bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, manipulation with hands, walking and standing thru-out the day.
This job will require performing medium to arduous physical labor.

Personal protective equipment:
This job will require wearing some PPE safety equipment, i.e., safety glasses, gloves, boots

Environment:
Work will be performed in a steel fabrication shop environment. Ambient temperatures in Memphis, Tenn.

Normal work hours will be Monday – Friday 7:00AM to 3:30PM . Some Saturdays will be required.
