Operator works at different work stations such as roll feed machines, de-coilers, and metal stamping presses as production needs require. Roll feed presses up to 600 tons

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set-Up & Operate coil fed stamping presses from 50 ton to 600 ton.
• Perform quality checks using the proper measuring devices correctly during operation and complete quality records
• Stop production when quality issues are detected
• Complete appropriate paperwork, including labels, accurately and completely
• Inspection: Visually identifies, inspects and sorts parts for conformance to customer needs. Identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures
• Packaging: Places parts in boxes so they are ready to ship
• Keep a clean and tidy workspace
• Works at different work stations as production needs require.
• Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry

Requirements

• At least 5 years prior experience in a manufacturing environment

• At least 2 years progressive stamping die experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Mathematical Skills: Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals. English and metric.

• Reasoning Ability**: **Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.

• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

• Multi-tasking abilities a MUST.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
