Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- Seven (7) years of progressive ambulatory/outpatient or inpatient operations experience required, including three (3) years of supervisory experience
- Five (5) years required for candidates with a Masters degree including three (3) years of supervisory experience
- Experience in a multi-practice/multi-site environment required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with Physicians, Employees, Senior Management, outside counsel, vendors and insurance companies
- Strong leadership skills; ability to inspire and motivate staff at all levels toward achieving a common objective
- Leads by example, fostering an environment of trust and cooperation
- Ability to formulate specific strategies and action plans to accomplish stated business objectives
- Experience in developing, implementing and executing an operational plan
- Basic understanding of physician office operations including: business office functions, human resource management, financial reporting, and budgeting processes, customer service and third party reimbursement
- Familiarity with regulatory aspects of Medicare, OSHA, HIPAA and other compliance related activities
- Experience in development of new services, professional and ancillary, start-up operations of new practices and offices
- Ability to perform duties in a manner that promotes quality patient care and customer service/satisfaction, while promoting safety, cost efficiency and a commitment to CQI process

Principal Accountabilities
Operational Proficiency
- Plans, directs and coordinates day-to-day functions within the physician practices through the Practice Managers of the various operational units.
- Maintains an operational environment in which the policies, personnel, systems and processes are conducive to the proficient and cost effective support for the physicians within the Practice.
- Collects & reports on data necessary for the measurement of performance standards deemed essential in maintaining an optimal practice setting.
Operational Planning
- Participates in the development of operational planning initiatives that support the mission and goals of MHMG.
- Implements & executes on specific objectives, strategies, and tactics aimed at the realization of the stated goals and directives resulting from the planning process.
- Monitors and communicates the effectiveness of the plan's execution and suggesting adjustments to the plan on an ongoing basis.
Resource Management
- Develops business plans for each operational unit that defines future needs for human and financial resources.
- Assists in the development of and adhering to annual budgets for the individual business units in the Region and projecting the necessary resources the Practice will need.
- Anticipates resource needs and managing contingencies that minimize the impact of external factors.
Human Resource Management
- Maintains a work environment that enables each employee the opportunity to maximize their talents and performance as they relate to their stated job functions.
- Maintains a cooperative, trusting, workforce with emphasis on teamwork.
- Insures that individual employees under their supervision are aware of how their performance is perceived and provides guidance as to how one may affect those perceptions.
