The Analytical and Spatial Intelligence Research Team (ASIRT) at Applied Research Associates, Inc. Mid-level Cloud Engineer Supporting Research Team Position Highlights:

• Responsible for planning, implementation, and growth of an AWS cloud infrastructure
• Build, release, and manage the configuration of production systems
• Build/manage continuous testing, integration, and deployment of server-based technologies
• Understand the latest cloud toolsets and applications to consider alternatives and improve system performance
• Support an algorithm research team’s ability to access cloud-compute resources efficiently and cost-effectively
• Build and maintain Docker containers to support the algorithm research team

Mid-level Cloud Engineer Supporting Research Team Required Experience & Skills:

• US Citizenship
• Master of Science degree or above in a related discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) with 0-2 years of relevant experience in the areas specified in the Position Highlights
• Experience with DevOps tools in a cloud environment (Docker, GitHub, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and Prometheus
• Strong foundation in software development in any of the following: Python, C/C++, Java, MATLAB, CUDA or other low-level and high-level programming languages
• Proficiency in script development and scripting languages
• Experience in Linux system administration
• Experience with collaborative software development and version control

Mid-level Cloud Engineer Supporting Research Team Desirable (Not Required) Experience & Skills:

• Experience developing software for execution on edge devices (GPUs, mobile phones, deployed CPU)
• Experience working on intelligence and DoD programs

Anticipated salary range: $80,000-$110,000. Offer may vary depending on experience and skill set.
