Description:

Assists or completes all types of work (dismantling, rewinding, repairing, reassembling, testing, etc.) on large or complicated equipment such as motors, generators, turbine generator, stators and fields, rotary converters, transformers, regulators, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Lead teams completing shop and field work
• Obtain winding data
• Stator core loss testing
• Commutator and collector ring assembly repair
• Wind motors up to 7000HP & 13kV
• With senior leadership, learn and understand the VPI process
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
• On site Field Repair and Rewinding
• Uphold the high quality standards of Keller Electrical
• Other duties as requested

Skills Needed:

• Must be skilled in winding of AC & DC apparatuses, both random and form coil
• Highly motivated self-performer with good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to use industry standard test equipment
• Significant mechanical knowledge and/or experience
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Safety conscious
• Strong leadership skills
• Effective communicator
