By focusing on supporting women and families through education, community empowerment, and leadership building, we hope to create a network of trained community leaders to lead, speak, and act with a collective and influential voice regarding environmental and social issues impacting their neighborhoods.

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, spearhead efforts to develop an engagement plan to increase the amount of outreach in the communities of color to increase awareness of environmental issues. The VISTA will also develop engaging, educational and interactive materials to promote water conservation, park and plant rehabilitation, and food security awareness. These materials will also provide information to latinx community members to help encourage thought and action from communities that are typically underserved.
