Multi-Modality Technologist- Mountain Vista Medical Center and Tempe St. Luke's Hospital
Job Summary
Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including X-Ray, MRI and CT procedures, and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities and other activities or duties as assigned by the Director of Imaging. Coordinates with other departments the day to day activity for MRI/CT/X-Ray safety and procedures.
Staff will be required to float between MRI, CT, and X-Ray.
One year of prior radiologic/imaging experience in MRI, CT and X-ray.
Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Registered as an RT (R) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
ARRT certfication in X-ray required.
ARRT certification in MRI/CT required or must be obtained within 1 year of employment as a MRI/CT Tech.
AZ CRT/CTCT certification granted by MRTBE.
Current BCLS certification.
Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
Possesses a high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
Proficiency with most major MRI/CT/X-ray equipment, hardware and software (GE, Siemens, Philips).
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Additional languages preferred
Intermediate computer knowledge of EMR systems, Cerner, and PAC's Workstation, as well as business software knowledge's to perform your daily task.
- Technical Training, completion of formal MRI program.
- ARRT/CRT or ARMRIT certified
- Minimum Experience: 1-2 years experience
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently, and exercise independent judgment.
- Requires competency in all areas of MRI scanning, including Neuro, MSK and Angio.
- Adaptability to a changing environment
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to speak / write English fluently
