OVERVIEW: The District Manager for Multifamily Management Services will develop, coordinate, and supervise the onsite management staff of his/her multifamily portfolio for the company in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures, under the direction of the Director of Operations and the Vice President of Multifamily Management Services. The District Manager is fully accountable for all property operations, overseeing and enhancing the value of each property.
The District Manager must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors and fellow employees. One must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions from executive management, have a strong work ethic, be a self- motivator and be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships. He/She will also implement and monitor strategic operating plans for each asset managed under his/her direction with the ultimate goal of maximizing the assets performance (income, cash flow and long-term value) within the framework of the assets ownership group.

Essential Job Functions:
§ 5+ years Real Estate experience in the Management, Operation, and/or Financial Assessment of Multifamily Housing
§ College degree preferred.
§ Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) preferred.
§ Student Housing experience preferred
§ Ability to manage projects, deadlines and priorities.
§ Demonstrate ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and initiate appropriate course of action.
§ Effectively convey ideas, images and goals to a diverse group of personalities.
§ Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances.
§ Complete understanding of Fair Housing and have certification prior to interaction with prospects or residents.
§ Proficient in personal computer skills, keyboard, internet search, math, Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as community software applications.
§ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
§ Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations.
§ Availability to work evenings and weekends according to business needs of the company.
§ Lift and carry up to 25lbs
§ Present self in a neat, clean and professional manner at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community.
§ Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the Employee Handbook.
§ Successfully pass a drug test.

Work Hours: Full time hours- salaried position. Must be available to work evenings and on weekends according to the business needs of the company and for emergencies.
DRIVING/TRAVELING REQUIREMENTS:
  • Frequent need (50% to 75% of the time) to utilize personal transportation to inspect apartment community and surrounding neighborhood, make trips to the back and visit the corporate office.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
