Nashville Warehouse Shift Lead - $2,000 Sign On Bonus
Work Mode: Onsite
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Schedule: likely Mon-Fri, 9-5
Status: Full Time / 40 hours per week
Starting Hourly Pay: Lead: $23 - $25 depending on slab + supervisory experience

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversees and contributes to the daily warehouse/slab yard operations, including prioritizing of shipments, out bound freight carrier documentation, inbound goods receipts and documentation, maintaining inventory accuracy and assuring compliance to all company polices and procedures.
2. Safety- Practice and ensure all are following required safety regulations. Take corrective action to fix any violations or poor safety conditions and or report to management. Maintain accurate documentation of safety training and issues.
3. Inbound Goods- Responsible for accurate inspection, documentation, posting of all inbound goods and maintaining inventory accuracy.
4. Shipments- Responsible for the accuracy for outbound customer shipments. Ensure all shipments are packed to company brand standards. Carrier documentation is completed and accurate.
5. Operational work flow- Responsible to ensure the work flow of warehouse operations and proactively avoid bottlenecks while adhering to warehouse lead times for Inbound material, outbound shipments, customer samples and returns.
6. Planning- workforce hour planning, warehouse/slab yard operations schedule, departmental budgets, establishing work procedures to meet production schedules.
7. Analyses and resolves work problems, recommends and implements process changes to drive increased efficiency and utilization.
8. Initiates personal actions. Maintains time and procedure records. Oversees the training of new employees. Evaluates performance of employees and provides recommendations for promotions or transfers.
9. Perform all duties as assigned by supervisor.
Supervisory Relationships:
- Reports to Warehouse Manager, Ann Sacks
- Reports to Showroom Manager, Nashville
- Supervises 2-3 material handlers
Organization Relationships:
- Frequent contact with company support departments
- Moderate contact with showroom personnel
- Occasional contact with Merchandising\Purchasing personnel
External Business Relationships:
- Frequent contact with freight vendors
- Occasional contact with customers
- Occasional contact with product or supply vendors
Skills/Requirements
A minimum of 1-2 years in a warehousing, manufacturing, or distribution environment, and 1+ years in a leadership capacity.
Slab handling experience highly preferred.
Forklift experience required
Exposure to SAP or similar operating systems preferred.
High school diploma required
Ability to communicate effectively with others, and read/write in English.
Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures
