JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE
The National Director of Student Financial Services will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of Student Aid Services for over 60+ campuses including creation and implementation of policy, staff training and supervision, compliance oversight, support of complex institutional eligibility, analysis of financial aid metrics, integration of new technology and best practices within the field.
The National Director is also responsible to manage the quality and content of the delivery of financial services as well as ensure the compliance of Federal/State regulations. The job requires advanced knowledge of Title IV regulations and a strong understanding and context of private higher education and institutional financial aid services in a multi-campus, multi- state environment. Successful candidates must also have thorough knowledge of existing and changing regulations at all levels, including a track record of success in complying fully with all such regulations.
The successful candidate will be a master collaborator with key members of the franchisor and school community. Familiarity with systems and process improvement and assessment programs is a must, as is a clear track record of utilizing data to inform decisions. They must demonstrate the ability to balance the needs of students and business goals, provide strong guidance and leadership to the team in student-centered communication and customer service, and have an unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and institutional policies, including federal Title IV and state financial aid programs.
- Manage and administer Title IV regulatory compliance, operations, service and outreach, staff training and development.
- Lead, mentor and contribute to enhancing the quality customer service, community engagement, relationship building, professional development and teamwork of Paul Mitchell Advanced Education and campus Financial Services teams.
- Develop, design, train and implement policy and process in an effort to ensure excellent customer service and advisory student financial services to students.
- Submit, maintain, and update as needed E-apps, ECAR's and PPA for all schools
- Analyze and report on key metrics of Financial Aid Institutional Eligibility covering all schools
- Prepare and present financial aid workshops & trainings
- Manage and monitor team of specialist and provide oversight and guidance to processing activities including verification of data, resolving conflicting applicant information, adherence to federal and institutional policies, reviewing financial aid appeals and exercising professional judgment based on standard school policies.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain current knowledge of financial aid policies and procedures and loan servicing regulations, including industry best practices.
- Address complex and challenging situations that cannot be managed through the standard procedures.
- Represent PMAE internally and externally to government agencies, funding agencies and the public.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
10+ years of experience with Title IV administration
5+ years of management level experience
3+ years of campus level work experience
Bachelor's Degree required
