CORT Events is seeking an Associate Manager for National Inventory. This is a working manager position and oversees the daily activities of the distribution team and the Regional Inventory Control Coordinators. You will also work closely with sales and operations teams in the field as well as the Repair Shop and Merchandising team. This person is responsible for analyzing forecast product usage and ensuring transfers are planned to accommodate customer needs. Creates, and regularly distributes product reports noting potential shortages to the operations and sales teams. Provides inventory utilization data to leadership and coordinates with the Merchandising team to monitor open purchase orders. Notifies the distribution warehouse of inbound new product and assists with planning distribution of both new and refurbished product.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily activities of Regional Inventory Control positions
  • Oversee daily activities of Inventory coordinator
  • Mediate and resolve employee relations issues/concerns.
  • Train, and mentor personnel to maximize their potential.
  • Set an example of professional conduct for all employees.
  • Utilize progressive discipline as needed and conduct performance appraisals
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or better preferred, or high school diploma with 5+ years of related experience and/or training in inventory management.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and exceptional skills in Excel to include pivot tables and charts, X lookups and V lookups.
  • Experience with additional programs such as SmartSheets and formatting BI reports preferred.
  • Five plus years of management or supervisory experience
