Job description

We are seeking an operations manager/coordinator for a nationwide pavement, line painting, and maintenance contractor. Position is local to Fort Worth and will service the area from just East of Weatherford to Arlington and from Colleyville down to Burleson. Working hours are 40-50 hours per week with some weekends, evening and overnight work required. The hiring company provides high quality line painting and pavement maintenance services for parking lots, roadways, and warehouses. In addition to painting services, the hiring company offers power sweeping, power washing, asphalt sealcoating, crack filing and more. Compensation package is negotiable during the interview.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Oversee and manage crew members, communicate with crew daily on jobs, equipment, schedule, and everything needed to serve clients and projects

• Work on operations software for weekly scheduling and meeting crew daily to get days started, complete on job site check-ins and close of day reports

• Complete daily operations report and ensure crew is completing their assigned reports

• Report to Owners and/or General Manager daily on status of jobs, crew, equipment, storage facility, schedule, etc.

• Oversee and manage equipment and work truck, including proper use, storage and accounting of all vehicles, equipment, and tools

• As needed, support the crew, and use the equipment to perform line painting, asphalt crack filing and sealcoating, power washing, epoxy flooring and more

• Plan and facilitate the production of a high-quality project for clients

• Maintain a safe, hazard-free job site

• Additional tasks as required and assigned, for example, touring the service area and promoting services with potential clients

WHAT YOU BRING

• A Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record and a reliable mode of transportation

• You are self-motivated, critical thinker that likes to problem solve

• You understand the importance of punctuality, organization, and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a physically demanding role with lots of walking, bending, and lifting (up to 75lbs)

• Ability to work well independently unsupervised

• Experience with small engines (like lawnmowers) and/or paint sprayers is an asset

• Experience overseeing crew is an asset

• An Engineering educational background is an asset
