Tufts Medical Center is looking for a neonatologist to join its team at an Assistant or Associate faculty level.

Boston Children’s Network Specialty Physician Foundation is an affiliate of Boston Children’s Hospital and employs physicians in a variety of specialties working in certain BCH network sites. Pursuant to the Collaboration between Boston Children’s Hospital and Tufts Medical Center, Boston Children’s Network Specialty Physician Foundation provides pediatricians to Tufts Medicine to staff its NICU and ambulatory clinics in Boston and its network of community-based services. This neonatologist role will be within the Tufts Neonatal Network, including the Level 3 NICU at Tufts Medical Center and affiliated Level 2 Special Care Nurseries

Why join our team: As a tertiary center, our Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a top choice for critically ill infants throughout New England. Staffed by physicians and nurses, our Newborn Transport service shuttles newborns in need of a higher level of care from our affiliates and other community hospitals to our Boston NICU. Once here, infants receive the most advanced treatments, including the latest ventilation techniques, hypothermia protocol for Neonatal Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy and sophisticated surgical approaches (such as mandibular distraction osteogenesis) not currently available elsewhere in Massachusetts.

Who You Are:

• Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
• Passionate for teaching and eligible for academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine
• Interested in perinatal care in both academic and community-based setting, in the progressive and supportive environment of Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Knowledgeable in healthcare quality, resource management, outcomes improvement, patient safety, and positive patient experience
• Committed to network development, growth, operational efficiency and integration
