Network Administrator job responsibilities include:

• Network administration and support for enterprise-wide infrastructure.
• Administers, troubleshoots, and maintains the VoIP, unified communications, and call center equipment.
• Installs and configures new hardware and software in support of the network.
• Assists in architectural network design improvements to meet strategic business needs.
• Interacts with peers and management to make informed strategic decisions.
• Assists with network security design, peer review, and integration of approved changes.
• Perform routine security and performance audits of networks.
• Participates in disaster recovery tests and planning.
• Assists in determining connectivity requirements and improve network configurations.
• Creates and maintains network and project documentation.
• Responsible for maintenance and reporting of network and VoIP performance metrics
• Responsible for managing network related outages and troubleshooting end to end network problems.
• Work with ticket queue to track support issues. Accountable for routine and escalated problem-solving.
• Participates in on-call rotation for after-hours support cycle with other team members.
• Responsibilities may require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.

Qualifications:

• Three plus years of networking experience, including firewalls, switches, and routers.
• Three plus years of experience providing configuration and troubleshooting support of network systems.
• Three plus years experience with Cisco VoIP, Unified Communications, and Call Manager.
• Experience with the following:

• Practical experience and understanding of project management methodologies and ITIL Service Operation concepts. Familiar with the incident and change management processes.
• Ability to gather information and understand business needs while establishing and maintaining a high level of customer trust and confidence.
