Position Summary:
The incumbent in this position is responsible for network administration, engineering and infrastructure and will work closely with the IT Security team, Technical Services Specialists and System Administrator to provide a robust 24/7/365 high available network environment. Responsible for overall network health, monitoring services and network infrastructure. Responsible for protecting data and ensuring disaster recovery best practices are in place.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides superior guest service

Manages network infrastructure and configuration, including switches, firewalls, VPNs to ensure network is secure and in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements
Participates in the budget planning process to ensure proper maintenance agreements are in place on all equipment and life cycle replacement processes are in place
Following best practices, design, configure and install network switching, wireless infrastructure, VLANs, and other network infrastructure
Responsible for data center and IDF management, including all supported electrical, HVAC and fire suppression systems
Maintain data communication, including fiber infrastructure and connectivity to multiple locations, including all redundancy required for a 24/7/365 environment
Train and mentor team members on convergence related applications
Responsible for VOIP, radio, cellular and DAS services
Implement security safeguards to secure the slot network in compliance with all regulatory requirements
Works with management, peers, and vendors to provide ongoing monitoring, performance tuning and ensures service level objectives are met
Technical Writing: Creation and maintenance of troubleshooting and operational documentation for all systems under management
Provides and receives cross-discipline training to ensure maximum availability of systems under management
Communicates effectively verbally, and in written form
Carries and responds to off-hours communications device, to provide 24x7 support for systems under management
Strong ability to troubleshoot complex network and switching environment
Actively pursues opportunities, as an individual and as part of a group, to improve knowledge, tools, and processes for systems under management
Responsible for maintaining and enforcing confidentiality and privacy rules pursuant to all applicable regulations
Participates in and complies with ilani’s Change Management process and methodology.
Responsible for enforcing the privacy rules pursuant to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) as applicable to ilani
Responsible for understanding and ensuring PCI compliance requirements are effectively implemented
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5 years’ minimum proven experience as a Network Administrator
3 years’ minimum experience working as part of an IT team
Demonstrated Cisco switch configuration experience
Other technical certification such as Network+, Security+, considered
Other VoIP experience, considered
Demonstrated cable infrastructure management experience
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and configuring switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems in a larger environment
Demonstrated understanding of, VLAN’s, routing protocols, UDP, QoS, spanning tree, DMZ, access lists and 802.11
Willingness to participate in a team environment and do what is needed to get the job done
Ability and willingness to learn new technology and systems with minimum training and adapt to changing technical needs and systems
Ability to obtain and maintain gaming license in one or more jurisdictions
Working knowledge of account management, password auditing, network and web-based vulnerability scanning, virus management and intrusion detection
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
Must be able to work in a smoking environment when on the casino floor
Must be willing to adhere to company safety measures in response to COVID-19 (wear a face mask, social distance)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
CCNA or CCNP certifications strongly preferred
Experience with Ruckus wireless systems preferred
Experience with Aruba wireless systems preferred
Cisco VoIP experience preferred
APC and other UPS management experience preferred
Understanding of compressed IP video and audio transmission and routing procedures preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $72,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
