Job description
The Okoboji school district is looking for a Network Administrator/Technician with technical experience with a wide range of software products, including security and monitoring software. This is a great opportunity for candidates interested in expanding their skills, as the position will evolve as we add new products to our current network. The ideal candidate for this role has experience performing tasks independently and with minimal supervision and will be committed to learning new skills and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Join and troubleshoot network systems.
- Install network equipment.
- Operate network servers.
- Handle database upgrades and backups.
- Implement security measures to protect data.
- Manage end-user computing needs.
- Maintain a work schedule and time management skills.
- Review client contracts and provide customer service.
- Support/Manage a Meraki network environment, including several Meraki switches and access points. Experience with the Meraki dashboard is a plus.
- Support/Manage a Mitel Voice-Over-IP phone system
- Support/Manage a security based key card / ID system and video surveillance system
- Support/Manage installation / repair of new or existing hardware including: Workstations (Microsoft), Chromebooks, iPads, TV, Smart Panels, Projectors and other peripherals, that could include pulling/running CAT wiring, terminating connectors, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
