The Position:

Our Network and System Administrator is a critical piece in our team and is responsible for the design and delivery of CFSC technology systems. We continuously improve systems and are growing to serve more agencies and more clients. The administrator will be responsible for expansion and improvement projects as well as providing support in a senior escalation role. Qualified candidates MUST have the ability to communicate to clients and co-workers at both technical and non-technical levels.

The desire and drive to build and maintain customer relationships is a key function of this role. This candidate will also be able to exhibit a sense of urgency in providing exceptional quality service to clients as well as setting and managing expectations. The Network and System Administrator will also provide continual improvement of processes and standards to assure we get better at what we do.

Job Purpose:

The primary goal of the Network and System Administrator is to ensure the smooth operation of the organizations voice and data network in order to provide maximum performance and availability for the system users.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

System Administration - 27%

  • Participate in the design, implementation, and management of network operations, including: Hosted 365 environments, local on premise environments; troubleshooting connectivity problems, assign rights and access
  • Successfully manages projects and appropriate documentation
  • Assists in server/hardware installation, patching, and upgrades.
  • Assists in Software/ Major applications installation, patching, and upgrades

Network Administration - 27%

  • Assist in maintaining
    • Switching and Network Infrastructure (Cisco Command line, Vlan, SD-Wan)
    • Compute, server, and storage systems (Vmware Microsoft Servers)
    • Physical and Virtual compute environments
    • Firewall , DMZ, and VPN systems (Cisco, Sonicwall, Fortigate)
    • Phone, Voice, VOIP, and media systems
    • End User Computing Systems (Deployment systems)

System Stability - 27%

  • Maintains up to date and accurate system/network documentation.
  • Assures appropriate backup of all systems. (Veeam)
  • Assures appropriate monitoring of all systems (Pulseway)
  • Assures systems are appropriately up to date and patched.
  • Assists in assuring network security systems (IPS, AV, HIPAA, FERPA compliance).

Customer Relations/Service - 20%

  • Creates positive and supportive relationships with customers and supported agencies.
  • Provides Tier 2/3 support for service tickets including but not limited to serving as an escalation point for the Tier 1 service desk personnel.
  • Provides technical support for hardware and software of in-office and remote employees.
  • Supports team by providing superior customer helpdesk services.


Minimum Requirements:

Education: 2 year college degree or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • Two years' related experience or equivalent combination (education)
  • Solid experience managing systems noted above.

Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance, own transportation and the ability to travel throughout the community.
  • Network + , or Comptia A+, or Equivalent
  • Microsoft Certification is preferred. (MCP, MCSA, MCSE)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Server and PC products at a high level
    • Microsoft Active Directory
    • Exchange infrastructure
    • O365
    • Knowledge and experience with layer 3 networking, cisco switching; VLANs, Tagging, ACLs, Routing, Sub netting
  • Good working knowledge of RDS, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and VoIP technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues
  • Experience with installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting workstation and server hardware
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
