Job Description Summary

Responsible for Core Network and Security Platforms and well as managing the network architecture team. The team will be responsible for all aspects of architecture, design and implementation of computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, remote connectivity, Virtual Private Networks (VPN) Load Balancing and other data communications networks. Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. Will also include overall design for network and computer security measures, and recommends network and data communications hardware and software design standards and governance

Job Description

• Designs network technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, load balancers and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards.
• Plan’s security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards. Management of all C&W WAN infrastructure across AMER liaising with external third-party suppliers
• Manage and monitor the networking systems and make the required adjustments and minor repairs to ensure that the systems operate smoothly. Coordinates scheduled maintenance on network systems to avoid any down time due to networking issues. Overall responsibility for the management and maintenance of the network element in C&W Data Rooms
• Maintains security in partnership with GCISO team by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs. Management and maintenance of the Cisco Unified Communications suite of products and infrastructure.
• Prepares network and security reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends, utilizing our internal tools (Zscaler, SolarWinds, etc.,) Able to collaborate with the Global Network team
• Leads the Network and Cloud Security COE in partnership with 3rd-party Managed Service Provider and Ops/Engineering teams. Focusing on standards, lifecycle management, equipment upgrades, governance, and Cloud security strategy Create and update systems architecture documentation.
• Identify opportunities to enhance return on investment, efficiency, reliability, availability, and serviceability of IT infrastructure Point of escalation for major incidents
• Keep abreast of emerging network and security technologies to enhance the organizations network and security posture
• Provides Level 4 Network and Security support, utilizing network utilities, monitoring tools, and responding to user questions, and resolving problems
• Level 4 point of escalation for Major Incidents, troubleshooting and resolution, managing the MIM bridge for Network or Security related issues.
• Coordinates Service / Product improvement activities with 3rd-Party Managed Service Provider

General Network Operations Management:

• To assist the Global Network team with designing, planning, and implementing a Network that meets the Cushman and Wakefield requirements in terms of performance and cost, in line with C&W IT strategy.
• To identify, analyze and propose resolutions to “Known Errors” of the network as part of proactive problem management.
• To ensure the Cushman and Wakefield’s Global data network’s performance, integrity, availability, and security is never compromised.
• Ensure that the network equipment and cabling in Data Centers is maintained to acceptable levels.

Required Skills:

• In depth knowledge of Cisco Wired and Wireless Network Infrastructure in branch offices, Cisco Nexus Data Centre Switching.
• A good understanding of Cisco Layer 3 routing, particularly BGP, EIGRP and OSPF protocols.
• Experience of deploying network monitoring tools and fine-tuning alerting and reporting. Hands on experience with SolarWinds is advantageous.
• Demonstrable experience of working for a large enterprise, familiarity with IT frameworks such as ITIL, understanding of the advantage for Change and Incident Management processes to the organization.
• Experience of working with technologies, integration to VMWare and Microsoft Virtualization Platforms.
• Experience developing and managing firewall infrastructure, particularly Palo Alto and Cisco Meraki.
• Experience of working with SASE security architecture technology from Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA/ZDX/ZTNA)
• Experience with SDN or SD-WAN (Silver Peak) related technologies would be desirable.
• Experience with Load Balancing / F5.
• Some exposure to Cisco Unified Communications Systems and Skype for Business.
• Ideally experience with Automation tools such as Ansible Tower with Kubernetes
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.

• Participation in global working groups responsible for the deployment and development of global technology systems and infrastructure.
• Participate in planned “patching, device upgrades” and other maintenance activities.

• Responsible for awareness and compliance to policy and guidelines of InfoSec policies and procedures.
• Respond to and manage service issues and problems, out of hours.
