We have an exciting opportunity for a Network SME to join our team. In this role you will provide technical leadership on major tasks, establish goals and plans that meet project objectives for the network infrastructure. This position is the primary point of contact for the client’s Data Centers and MAN/WAN sites. We are seeking a person with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task and display attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the integration of new technical solutions
· Leading and participating in Data Center and network related projects
· Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network engineers and other technical staff
· Recommending enhancements to improve systems availability and performance
· Offer recommendations for procedural upgrades
· Define organizational, departmental, or project processes and policies
· Communicate how the company should apply the rules, regulations, processes, and policies
· Identify pain points and recommend process improvements
· Provide technical communication pertaining to configurations in a concise, professional manner
· Validate the needs and deliverables of the product or service involved
· Offer valuable insights and inputs to help design and construct test cases and scenarios
· Test a particular product or service, using it, evaluate and provide honest and comprehensive feedback about it to the development/engineering team
· Analyze network topologies, traffic, and capacity requirements
· Providing day-to-day operational support and guidance of multiple Data Centers and related network infrastructure, while maintaining a best practices approach
· Providing network administration and support to a campus-wide area network infrastructure and act as customer liaison with customer’s central IT network core infrastructure
· Monitoring system activity and logs for problems
· Participating in regular Data Center maintenance window planning and implementations
· Managing and maintaining all Data Center/Network documentation
· Keeping current with recent trends and technologies
· Suggesting and bringing forward improvements and keeping infrastructure up-to-date
· Analyzing facilities’ bandwidth and capacity requirements and system interdependencies
· Maintaining security and ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures
· Provide on-call support for off hours data center escalations
· Perform regular scheduled out of hours maintenance window support
Required Experience/Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 12-15 years of hands-on experience in the implementation and administration of complex, multi-location, multi-vendor, converged voice/data networks in a geographically distributed environment.
· Experience with deploying and supporting Cisco Software-defined networking (SDN)
· CCNP certification
· Must have in-depth hands-on experience of Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) which is a software-defined networking (SDN) solution designed for data centers. This includes working in the data plane, control plane, and management plane.
· Hands-on experience in administering Cisco routers (Cisco ISR, ASR series) & switches including but not limited to 35xx, 37xx, 38xx, 45xx, 65xx, Nexus 9xxx, 7xxx, 6xxx, 5xxx, 2xxx & 1xxx series. Cisco ONS. Cisco ACI and DNA Center. Juniper MX routers and EX switches. Dell Force10-MXL switches. Riverbed Steelhead and Steelhead Mobile. F5 Big-IP LTM. Infoblox DDI appliances.
· Good understanding of network principles and the OSI model.
· Experience managing networks, internal and external DNS, and the associated IP infrastructure.
· Experience working in a Data Center
· Experience administering and configuring monitoring tools for proactive alerting and trends analysis.
· Experience in working with support ticketing systems, managing assigned tickets, as well as providing appropriate follow up
· Experience with creating and maintaining documentation
· Experience with the use of Data Center inventory management tools
· Experience with network IP address management
· Experience working with TCP IP protocol suite, IP subnets and masking, and routing protocols
· Experience working in Local Area Network (LAN) environments and Wide Area Network (WAN) environments
· Experience designing, configuring and troubleshooting Routing and Switching systems (Cisco expertise required)
· Experience with Routing Protocols to include BGP, MP-BGP, OSPF, EIGRP and ISIS
· Experience with Gateway Redundancy Protocols to include HSRP and VRRP
· Experience implementing L2VPN, L3VPN across an MPLS network
· Experience with EVPN with VXLAN Data Plan Encapsulation across an MPLS network
· Experience creating network topology diagrams
· Strong sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task and display attention to detail.

· Candidates must be US Citizens
· Candidates must have resided in the United States for the past 5 years
· Candidates must not have traveled outside of the United States for a combined total of 6 months or greater in the past 5 years
· This position requires successful completion of a background check, drug screen, and a credit check.
