NexGen Data Systems is seeking a Network/Unified Communication (UC) SME to plan, design, deploy, and continue to support a mission critical project for the Cisco UC Manager and Session Border Controller (SBC) platform. This position requires a motivated, detailed, self-starter who can balance competing priorities while maintaining professionalism. Technologies utilized include Multiple Switch vendors, Juniper, Ruckus, Aruba, Cisco switches, Palo Alto Firewall, Panorama, and Wireless. The position also requires demonstrated competence in LAN/WAN technologies. The UC Network Engineer SME is responsible for the coordination of cross-functional teams in relation to the deployment and support of the physical/virtual infrastructure, which includes technologies such as VMWare, Linux, Windows Server, physical servers, and enterprise storage arrays. This position will work remotely so the candidate must be a dependable self-starter with a strong work ethic. This is a full-time employee position with our company.
Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, deploy, and continue to support a mission critical project for the Cisco UC Manager and Session Border Controller (SBC) platform
• Technical responsibilities:

• Network documentation
• UC infrastructure support
• UC network administration
• Monitoring and optimization

• Administrative responsibilities:

• Team collaboration/knowledge sharing
• Change control tracking
• Project documentation

Desired/Required Skills:

• Experience with DoD Unified Communications, Cisco Voice Infrastructure, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Video Servers, VMWare, Linux, Windows Servers
• Experience with Juniper switches, Cisco ASA Firewalls, and Ruckus devices preferred
• Secret clearance or higher preferred
• 8570 compliance (Active Security and OS certifications)
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Reliable with exceptional work ethic
• Detail oriented with self-motivated attitude
• Collaborative, team focus to support cohesive work team
• Ability to handle competing priorities with high expectations in a team-oriented environment
