Scheduling Requirements:

Comply with attendance rules, working nights and weekends regularly. Typical Shifts are 3pm- 11pm and 11pm- 7am. Weekends and Holidays are required. The ability to work with a varying schedule week to week.

Description:

Provide prompt and courteous service to our guests while processing all payments and maintaining accuracy of guest accounts. Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, and respond with appropriate action. Field guest complaints, conduct research, develop effective solutions, negotiate results. Listen and extend assistance. Remain calm and alert during emergency situations and heavy hotel activity. Complete registration process by inputting & retrieving information from computer. Promote sales initiatives. Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guest needs. Verify/swipe credit cards for authorization. Handle cash, make change and balance an assigned house bank. Accept and record vouchers, travelers checks, and other forms of payment. Answer the telephone using positive and clear communication. Input messages into the computer. Monitor room availability, selling strategies, and rate discounts. Execute group reservations and manage group blocks. Verify and balance all daily charges to appropriate accounts, making corrections as necessary. Run computer through nightly processing sequence to reset for next day’s use. Balance the guest ledger. Process all city ledger work to accounting. Set up and maintain Continental Breakfast Bar. Perform any other job related duties as assigned by Manager/s.

Work Conditions:

Public, business atmosphere, located near building entrance in which temperatures may vary within reason of indoor climates. Lifting and carrying up to 40lbs. Able to stand for long periods of time.
